Overview:

The SmartStor NS4600/NS2600 is the perfect DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) Digital Media Server (DMS) for the Digital Home, allowing Digital Media Players or any other DLNA or UPnP Digital Media Player to automatically discover and playback music, pictures and video. Simply copy your digital content to the appropriate folders on the SmartStor NS4600/NS2600 and the rest is truly automatic. Your music, pictures or video will be automatically sorted based on ID3 Tag, Year & Date and Format & Resolution.

The SmartStor NS4600/NS2600 DLNA 1.5 Media Server also supports DLNA UPLOAD, allowing for digital content to be uploaded directly from mobile devices with support for DLNA 1.5 upload feature. Copy the pictures directly from your wireless internet connected mobile devices to the SmartStor NS4600/NS2600 and sharing with your family even you are out and about. You can also download content from the SmartStor NS4600/NS2600 using any mobile device with DLNA Download support.

Supporting Windows 7 Network Media Device
The SmartStor NS4600/NS2600 has achieved Windows 7 Logo Network Media Device Logo. This means the NS4600/NS2600 has been rigorously tested under Windows 7 Media Player ensuring a rich user experience during enjoyment of your digital content such as showing the album art of your music or thumbnails for images and videos.

iTunes Digital Media Server
The SmartStor NS4600/NS2600 includes an iTunes Digital Media Server for playback of Music Files of MP3 and AAC audio files. The SmartStor NS4600/NS2600 iTunes Digital Media Server can also playback H.264, MOV, MP4 and M4V Video Files. Video playback even includes protected content such as Movies, Music and Videos purchased from iTunes Store. In addition to music and video playback, the SmartStor NS4600/NS2600 allows for creation of custom playlists using the new iTunes playlist generator making the SmartStor NS4600/NS2600 one of the most advanced iTunes Digital Media Servers available today.

SmartStor Media Center
The web-based SmartStor Media Center utilizes the DLNA 1.5 Digital Media Server to allow access and playback of digital content stored on the SmartStor NS4600/NS2600 from any computer (Windows, Mac, Linux) in the home using web browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari. You can also use your mobile device to access digital content in the home or on the go (remote requires DDNS setup).

Logitech Squeezecenter
Using a Squeezebox device? You no longer need to use your PC as your Squeezecenter server. You can download and install the Logitech Squeezecenter plugin for SmartStor NS4600.  The Squeezecenter plugin for SmartStor NS4600 provides the exact same experience as the PC allowing you to select from multi Squeezebox players and adjust server settings. You can also log into your Squeezecenter account for access to Pandora, Last.FM and other Logitech provided services.

Facebook Uploader
Keeping pace with the social networking revolution the SmartStor NS4600/NS2600 supports uploading pictures directly to your Facebook account and Facebook Wall. The Facebook Uploader has been integrated into the Web Based File Management Tool and also the SmartStor Media Center. Uploading your pictures to Facebook is as easy as one-two-three. During the upload process you can choose to upload pictures to an existing photo album or create a new photo album. The process is exceedingly simply requiring only a few clicks of the mouse.
